The black Pomeranian will make a great family pet. He makes a great small pet for children because he is very sturdy and lightweight. He is a very loyal and watchful dog with a very good nature. He is easily trained with consistency and loves to be walked. The differences between the black Pomeranian and the regular Pomeranian is only in color. The black Pomeranian is a small strong dog with a medium bone structure whose legs are directly proportional to his body size.

The outer coat of the black Pomeranian is short and coarse, while the undercoat is coarse but much longer and pushes the outercoat straight up. This can sometimes give the black Pomeranian a look of a guard dog. This beautiful coat should be groomed often to maintain its luster.

The black Pomeranian is a very active dog and is considered by most to be a bossy dog. They are extremely vivacious and very energetic. They are also very nosy dogs who get themselves into trouble quite regularly because of this nosy attribute. Their tails are set high and curl around to lay flat on the dogs back.

Because of their unusual looking coats they are actually quite beautiful dogs. They range in size from four to seven pounds and typically have very short but sturdy legs. They definitely are not tiny, brittle or wimpy dogs.

The black Pomeranian is very popular and usually the first pups to be sold. Some feel it is the uniqueness of the coat color which makes them so popular. These dogs should be exercised daily and if living in an apartment should be walked twice a day.

The black Pomeranian is a very good dog. It makes a great companion dog in any environment. It has a pleasant personality and is very intelligent. They are good watch dogs and work very well with children. They are easy to groom with a small brush. They are easy to feed because of their size and they do not eat very much. If they had a choice they would like to be known as lap dogs. Training is imperative for this dog’s behavior. He can still be a lap dog, but a trained lap dog.

The early black Pomeranians came from Iceland and Eastern Europe. They were introduced into the AKC in 1900 and have become one of the most popular of all dog breeds. The only difference between the red and brown Pomeranian and the black Pomeranian is the color.

The rest of their characteristics remain the same. They are strong, sturdy, happy and very smart dogs. This dog is great with children and will make great protectors. What the black Pomeranian lacks in size he makes up for in intelligence and personality.
